Trinidad History Museum Master Site Plan
Trinidad, Colorado

A premier Trinidad historic site is the Colorado Historical Society's Trinidad History Museum. A delightful complex of historic buildings from varying time periods, the Society decided it was time to take a fresh look at the site's future. This project, the Master Plan, is part of a continuing stream of major improvements at the site.

The Master Plan consisted of chapters on Site Analysis, Opportunities and Constraints Analysis, and Preservation Philosophy and Approach, which included Periods of Interpretation, Themes, Intrusions, Missing Elements and Site Interpretation.

"Your ideas to upgrade the site and expand operations for the mater plan show an understanding of issues regarding the balance of historic integrity with practical concerns (ADA compliance, staffing, marketing, ways to generate income, etc.). Feedback about your strategy and ideas from people you interviewed for the master plan have also been extremely positive. They feel you have a creative and yet practical approach to the project."
